SeaSafari strives to minimize the performance impact to the environment and keep it as low as possible.
Environmental friendly work is in progress on several levels and in all departments, on land and at sea. SeaSafari is also working to reduce use of consumables.
Boats
Nova Rib work and operate environmentally aware of the shipments impact at sea, and strive to optimize efficiency. We are working with fuel-efficient and energy-efficient engines of latest technology. We followed the manufacturer’s instructions and guidance on routine service and maintenance to ensure the level of power and life time of the engines and boats. Nova Rib avoids the use of paints and washes instead of any fouling on the hull regularly during the season.
Drivers
SeaSafari’s staff are well aware of their ability to reduce and limit the environmental impact. Drivers are instructed to operate as environmentally efficient as possible by avoiding unnecessary idling of the engine. SeaSafari has an on-going environmental work and follows the development of technology in this issue. We are also looking at the possibility of alternative fuels.
Events
Due to the sensitive environment we always take the event impact into cosidertion.
We make sure that nothing is left behind when leaving an visited island. In order to keep our archiperlago clean we also remove debris and garbage left behind by others.
We use local suppliers for delivery of food and additional equipments.
